You want your child to discover their God-given gifts and have the space to express them with confidence, joy, and purpose. At Saint Simons Christian, we believe creativity reflects the heart of our Creator. That’s why we offer a vibrant arts program where students explore music, movement, and visual expression through a biblical lens. Whether it’s the first rhythm game in Kindergarten or the final bow of the Spring Musical, students grow as worshipers, storytellers, and confident communicators.
Inspiring Creativity for the Glory of God
Arts at SSCS
Visual Arts
Every SSCS student participates in weekly art classes that blend creative exploration with artistic fundamentals - color theory, perspective, composition, and design. Projects reflect seasonal themes, biblical truths, and personal expression. Rotating gallery displays turn our hallways into a living museum of student imagination. In middle school, art becomes an elective, allowing students to pursue their passions and refine their skills further.
Music
Music begins early, with Kindergarteners learning rhythm and worship through playful songs and instruments. As students grow, so do their skills - reading notation, building vocal technique, and preparing worship sets and special performances. Chapel services, Christmas programs, and class presentations provide meaningful opportunities to lead through music.
The Spring Musical
Each spring, the entire SSCS community comes together for a full-scale musical production that’s become a beloved tradition on Saint Simons Island. Fifth through eighth grade students audition for roles, join the chorus, or help behind the scenes with lighting, sets, and costumes. Whether on stage or in the wings, every student plays a part in something bigger - telling a story, building confidence, and shining with excellence.
