At Saint Simons Christian School, we believe that education is more than academics - it’s about nurturing the whole child. Serving K4 through 8th grade students, SSCS provides a safe, faith-filled environment where children are encouraged to grow in wisdom, knowledge, and love for the Lord.
Saint Simons Christian School is the only independent, non-denominational Christian school in the Golden Isles. Our commitment is straightforward: to partner with families in guiding hearts and growing minds.
Our Story
In 1994, a group of Saint Simons parents gathered with one conviction: children flourish when excellent academics and Christ-centered education walk hand-in-hand. That vision launched The Whitefield School with 25 students as a ministry of the Golden Isles Presbyterian Church. In 2007, the school became independent of the church. In 2009, we changed our name to Saint Simons Christian School.
Thirty years from when the doors opened for the first day of school, the same desire to prepare students academically, socially, physically – all through a distinctly Christian worldview – drives everything we do at Saint Simons Christian. Nestled mid-island beneath the live-oak canopies, SSCS serves over 175 students from K4 through 8th grade and remains the island’s only independent Christian school.
Our families come to Saint Simons Christian from across Glynn County: Saint Simons Island, Brunswick, and the wider Golden Isles. Together our school represents 15+ local churches and a rich diversity of backgrounds while being united by our call to guide hearts and grow minds.
